Importantly, when you do get a Brazilian Blowout® on the same day following your hair color or hair highlights, Brazilian Blowout® will seal in your color or highlight nicely, and in the days to come, your hair color or highlight will fade less and your hair will shine more.

Please note: If you do decide to color your hair or highlight hair after you have had a Brazilian Blowout®; you must allow a two week waiting period, as your hair needs a chance to close fully to accept the new color properly.

Uniquely Elegant Salons opens hair salon in Albuquerque NE, NM

Lene and Andrea opened the doors of Uniquely Elegant Salon today with grand opening party of many friends and family.  Many of the members of the "Brazilians in New Mexico" community attended as Lene made homemade Brazilian Hors d'oeuvres and served champagne, not to mention Lene's Brazilian soup, which is to die for.  The decorations were fabulous for this Albuquerque hair salon. 

Drawings were held for free hair cuts, which was a big hit since many of the already-a-client of the ladies felt really special in receiving a free one.  Drawing were also held for the Uniquely Elegant Salon t-Shirt and coffee mugs that my company, MatrixMate Printing printed up.

The party lasted about 3 hours and everyone seemed to be having a really good time.  The dynamic dual handed out their Salon Menu which includes:

New Albuquerque Hair Salons - the idea

In 2010, two cosmetologist colleagues, Lene and Andrea, now best friends, decided they want to run an Albuquerque Hair Salon.  They both brought the idea to me and we pondered over it for a year or so.  In November of 2011, Lene and Andrea made that dream a reality by opening my Uniquely Elegant Salon at 8311 San Pedro Dr NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87113 Just 2 blocks north of Paseo del Norte.

I was completely astounded when I first walked in to the new salon.  These two ladies made a complete elegant shop that any mother or mother-in-law would be proud of.  I was proud by just seeing the pictures they sent me by email, as I was in Quebec, Canada on assignment and could not be there for the opening day.

Both ladies were vastly trained in cosmetology, and had many years of hands-on hair styling and, from the looks of the salon, interior decorating too.  They chose Alfaparf to be there hair color line, which is a very high end Italian product line, and Moroccanoil to be there main hair care product line.  Both choices proved to be wise.

Lene, being a born and raised Brazilian, naturalized American, had a unique method of styling curly hair, which proved to be valuable to Uniquely Elegant Salon as the company later became very acquainted with the Hollywood craze Brazilian Blowout in Albuquerque.  To Lene, this was the same styling of hair she was accustomed to during her adolescence in Brazil.

Andrea, with roots of New Mexico, is best known for her art in razor cutting and is awesome with cutting curly hair.  She took to Brazilian Blowout like and angel fish to water.

I am so proud of both of my ladies!
